Our Medical Team

The Orthopedic surgeons of the SOAR Surgery Group specialize in sports medicine and arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, hand and micro surgery, total joint replacement, fractures, foot surgery, and pediatric and adolescent sports medicine. The Surgery Group has met the growing demand for high quality orthopedic care for the athlete, worker, pediatric and senior patient with state of the art diagnostic surgical treatment.

The SOAR surgeons are all sub-specialty trained and all have completed fellowships. They have written technical articles for medical journals, led research studies, and are active faculty members of training seminars in new surgical procedures. They were the first orthopedic group in the United States to test and utilize fiber optic laser techniques in arthroscopic procedures and are recognized internationally for their contribution to orthopedic laser surgery and thermally assisted surgery. Currently, numerous surgeons in the United States are employing the use of radio frequency (RF) devices in surgery. These devices and techniques were pioneered at SOAR. In addition, SOAR surgeons remain active in the testing and development of new devices, products, and techniques that are used internationally. SOAR has always remained on the forefront of technology and innovation.

The Rheumatologists of SOAR are specialists in internal medicine with sub-specialty training in Rheumatology. The field encompasses musculoskeletal and auto-immune diseases which include osteoarthritis, bursitis, tendonitis, gout, arthritis, lupus, myositis, and fibromyalia. The rheumatologists are expert in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of complaints involving fatigue, joint pain and inflammation. They have expertise in sports related health problems such as asthma and amenorrhea. They are published in medical journals and textbooks and are involved in clinical research for new therapies.
